breathe in the air
Don't be afraid to care
Leave but don't leave me
Look around and chose your own ground
For long you live and high you fly
And smiles you'll give and tears you'll cry
And all you touch and all you see
Is all your life will ever be
Who am I? My identity has been as a mother for so long. As my children grow up,
I find the need to re-identify who I am, where I am going in this life.
As a foster mother, I find I am pulled in two directions - to meet the needs
of the children in my care, and to reach out to help the larger community of children
lost in the foster care system.
As I wife, I hope that we have moved into a deeper level of caring and commitment after
25 years of marriage, with it's happiness and sorrows.
As a Christian, I struggle to find a deeper level of faith.
These are my joys, frustrations, hopes and fears. Hopefully I can learn and grow from them.
